Status pages
Status Page Subscriptions and Sharing
Sharing a published status page
Once a status page is public, share it three ways:
- Direct link —
https://status.merlonix.com/<slug>, from the page's Public link card. - Status badge — a small live "Status: Operational" badge you embed on the client's own website; copy the snippet from the Badge card.
- Custom domain — on Agency plans (or with the White-Label add-on) point
status.theirdomain.comat the page so it lives on the client's own domain. See "Add a Custom Domain to Your Status Page".
Subscriptions — letting visitors get notified
A published status page shows a Subscribe box. A visitor enters their email and confirms (double opt-in), and from then on they receive an email when you post an incident or when a component goes down. This lets a client's own team stay informed without you emailing each of them.
- Subscribers are per status page — each client's page has its own list.
- Subscribers can unsubscribe from any notification with one click; you don't manage their consent by hand.
- You can see and manage the subscriber list from the Subscribers card on the page.
Who should I share it with?
The page is read-only and contains no account or billing data — only the up/down status of the services on it. It is safe to share with the client and, if you want, with the client's own end-users as a public uptime page.
Privacy
While a page is private it is not reachable at its public URL at all. Publishing is the only thing that makes it visible, and you can unpublish at any time from the page.
