Get the right person, on the right channel, at the right time.
A missed alert is a missed outage. Merlonix routes every alert to the channel your team actually uses — from email to Slack to PagerDuty — and adds on-call rotations and escalation policies so a page always reaches someone who can act.

How on-call works
01
Connect your channels
Add the destinations your team already uses — email, Slack, Microsoft Teams, Discord, Telegram, Google Chat, a generic webhook, SMS, PagerDuty, or Opsgenie. Each channel has a one-click test so you can confirm it works before an incident, not during one.
02
Build on-call rotations
Create on-call schedules with shifts so coverage rotates across your team automatically. An “on call right now” view always shows exactly who is holding the pager — no spreadsheet, no guessing.
03
Escalate until someone answers
Define escalation policies with ordered steps: notify the first responder, then — if the alert isn’t acknowledged — escalate to the next person or a louder channel. Nothing silently falls through the cracks.
Built-in, not bolted-on
You don't need a second tool to run on-call.
On-call rotations and escalation policies are part of Merlonix on the Team plan — the same place your monitoring already lives. Run on-call entirely inside Merlonix, or, if your team already lives in PagerDuty or Opsgenie, route alerts straight there. Either way, the page reaches whoever is actually on call.
Common questions
Which alert channels does Merlonix support?
Ten: email, Slack, Microsoft Teams, Discord, Telegram, Google Chat, a generic webhook, SMS, PagerDuty, and Opsgenie. Email is available on every plan (including free). Slack, Teams, Discord, Telegram, Google Chat, and webhooks are available from the Starter plan up. SMS, PagerDuty, and Opsgenie — the on-call band — are available on Team and above.
Do I need a separate tool like PagerDuty to get on-call?
No. Merlonix has on-call rotations and escalation policies built in, so you can run on-call entirely inside Merlonix on the Team plan. If your team already lives in PagerDuty or Opsgenie, you can route alerts there instead — both are supported channels.
How do on-call rotations work?
You build on-call schedules made of shifts, and coverage rotates across the people on the schedule. At any moment an “on call right now” view shows who is currently responsible, so alerts reach the person actually holding the pager.
What is an escalation policy?
An ordered set of steps that runs when an alert fires: notify the first responder, and if it isn’t acknowledged in time, escalate to the next step — a different person or a louder channel like SMS. It ensures a missed page doesn’t become a missed outage.
Is SMS really included?
SMS delivery is available on the Team plan and above. It carries a real per-message cost, which is why it sits in the on-call band alongside PagerDuty and Opsgenie rather than the free email tier.
How do I turn it on?
