Notification Channels: Where Your Alerts Go

Adding a channel

Alerts only help if they reach you. In Settings → Notification channels → + Add channel, choose a kind, give it a name, and enter the target:

  • Email — an email address.
  • Slack, Microsoft Teams, Discord, Google Chat — an incoming webhook URL from that app.
  • Telegram — a bot token plus chat id.
  • PagerDuty — an Events API v2 routing key.
  • Opsgenie — an API key.
  • SMS — a mobile number in E.164 format, e.g. +15551234567 (see "SMS Alerts").
  • Generic webhook — any HTTPS URL; payloads are signed so you can verify them.

Severity filter

Each channel has a severity filter (info, warning, critical). Only alerts matching a selected severity are delivered to that channel — so you can send critical pages to SMS or PagerDuty while routing everything to a Slack room.

Test it

Use the Test button to send a synthetic alert and confirm the channel works. The channel shows a health badge for its last delivery (sent / delivered / failed / bounced) so you can spot a broken webhook.

Notification channels are available on every plan.
