Setting Up Alert Channels

What are alert channels?

Alert channels are where Merlonix sends notifications when an alert fires. Supported types:

  • Email: Sends to a specified address
  • Slack webhook: Posts to a Slack channel
  • Generic webhook: HTTP POST with HMAC-SHA256 signature

Creating a channel

  1. Go to Alerts → Channels
  2. Click New channel
  3. Choose type and fill in the target
  4. Set a severity filter
  5. Click Test to send a test notification

Webhook signature verification

Generic webhook deliveries include X-Merlonix-Signature: sha256=<hex>. Verify it against your signing secret to authenticate the request.
