Getting Started with Merlonix

What Merlonix does

Merlonix watches the websites, domains, and certificates you care about and tells you the moment something breaks — an expiring SSL certificate, a DNS change, a site going down, or a vendor outage — so you find out before your customers do.

Your first 10 minutes

1. Add your first asset. Go to Assets → + New asset, enter a hostname (e.g. www.yourdomain.com), choose what you are monitoring, and save. Merlonix immediately begins checking its SSL certificate and DNS. See "Adding and Managing Assets".
2. Turn on the monitors you need. From the asset, enable extras like an uptime check (an HTTP URL to ping), domain-expiry, or heartbeat. See "What Merlonix Monitors".
3. Choose where alerts go. In Settings → Notification channels, add an email address, Slack/Teams/Discord webhook, or SMS so alerts reach you. See "Notification Channels".
4. Invite your team (optional) under Settings, and set up on-call escalation if more than one person should be paged.
5. Give clients a status page (optional) under Status Pages — a public, branded uptime page per client. See "How to Set Up a Status Page".

Where to look day to day

The Dashboard (/app/) is your home base: how many assets you watch, how many alerts are open, and which certificates are expiring soon. See "Understanding Your Dashboard".

That is the whole loop: add what to watch, choose how you are told, and Merlonix handles the rest automatically.
