AI Answer Presence (GEO/AEO) Monitoring

What it does

AI Answer Presence tracks whether AI assistants (such as ChatGPT and Perplexity) mention your brand and state your facts correctly when someone asks a relevant question — and alerts you when your presence drops or your facts drift. This is sometimes called GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) or AEO (Answer Engine Optimization). It is available on the Agency and Compliance plans.

Tracking a question

Open AI Answer Presence (/app/answer-presence/) and add a tracked query with:

• Brand name (required) — what to look for in answers.
• Brand domain (optional).
• Question to monitor (required) — e.g. "best uptime monitoring for compliance teams".
• Declared facts (optional) — ground-truth statements (pricing, positioning) that Merlonix uses to judge whether the AI answer is accurate.
• An active / paused toggle that controls whether the query runs in the weekly check.

Results

Open a query to see, per engine, whether your brand was cited and whether your facts are accurate or have drifted, plus a history timeline. Each result is tagged as coming from the weekly monitor or an on-demand run. A recommendations panel suggests concrete GEO/AEO actions based on the latest results.

Turn on the weekly drift monitor to re-check your active queries automatically and alert you on changes. Use Check now for an immediate, metered scan. Plans include a set number of tracked queries (for example 5 on Agency, 10 on Compliance).
