What an asset is

An asset is one thing you want Merlonix to watch — a hostname, a domain, an SSL certificate, or a DNS record. Every asset is checked automatically on a schedule based on your plan.

Adding an asset

Go to Assets → + New asset and fill in:

  • Hostname (required) — the domain or hostname, e.g. www.example.com.
  • What are you monitoring? — Domain, Hostname, Certificate, or DNS record.
  • Label (optional) — a human note like "production www".
  • Client (optional) — assign it to a Client for grouped reporting and status pages.
  • Uptime check URL (optional) — an HTTP/HTTPS URL to ping. When set, you can also configure the method (GET/HEAD/POST/PUT/PATCH), an expected status code, a keyword the response must contain, custom headers, a request body, and an expected final URL (to catch silent redirects to a login page).

Merlonix starts checking the SSL certificate and DNS for the asset right away.

Adding many at once

Use the bulk import tab in the new-asset panel to add up to 100 assets at a time from a CSV.

Managing assets

  • Assets list (/app/assets/) shows every asset with its type, check interval, and status (watching or paused).
  • Pause / resume an asset to stop or restart its checks without deleting it.
  • Delete removes it and its monitoring.
  • Select several rows to pause, resume, or delete them together.
  • Asset detail (/app/assets/detail/) shows the full check history, SSL/DNS timelines, TLS posture, and any findings.

Plan limits

Each plan includes a set number of assets (for example Free 3, Starter 10, Team 50, Agency 200). Your current limit and usage are shown on the Billing page; upgrade there if you need more.
