Monitoring for the AI era

Is your site visible to AI?

Your buyers — and their AI agents — increasingly reach you through ChatGPT, Perplexity, and AI crawlers, not just a browser. Most monitoring can’t tell you whether AI can even read your site, or what it says about you. Merlonix can. Start with a free scan.

Free, public, nothing stored. No signup to scan.

The two halves of AI visibility

Reachable

Can AI agents read your site?

Answer engines and AI crawlers fetch your pages before they ever describe you. Merlonix checks the signals that decide whether they can: an /llms.txt that is present and fresh, a /robots.txt that allows (or blocks) the major AI bots the way you intend, schema.org structured data that parses, and an MCP endpoint that responds. Deterministic checks — no AI, no guesswork.

Free, public, nothing stored — scan any domain in seconds.

Represented

Do AI engines describe you correctly?

When a buyer asks an assistant “who does X?”, you need to know whether it names you and whether it gets your facts right. Merlonix tracks the buyer questions that matter, asks Perplexity and ChatGPT on a weekly cadence, and alerts you when a citation drops or an engine states something wrong — instead of finding out from a prospect on a sales call.

Included on Agency and Compliance. Both engines live, checked independently.

What the scan checks

The bots that decide whether AI can read you.

Your /robots.txt quietly allows or blocks each of these. The free scan shows you exactly which AI bots can reach your site — against the policy you actually intend — plus your llms.txt freshness, schema, and MCP endpoint.

What we promise — and what we don’t

We report what’s reachable and what engines say. We don’t guarantee an AI ranking.

The Agent-Readiness checks are deterministic and verifiable — they inspect your own site for objective facts. Answer-presence monitoring reports what Perplexity and ChatGPT currently say and whether the facts are right; it does not promise to change what an engine says or guarantee a citation. The engines decide what to cite; we tell you, continuously, where you stand and what to improve.

Common questions

What is AI visibility monitoring?

It is two things Merlonix checks continuously: whether your site is reachable by AI agents and answer engines (the Agent-Readiness checks — llms.txt freshness, AI-bot robots policy, schema.org, MCP endpoint), and whether public AI answer engines actually cite you and state your facts correctly (answer-presence monitoring on Perplexity and ChatGPT). It is the same monitoring discipline Merlonix applies to uptime, SSL, and DNS — extended to the way AI now reaches and describes your site.

Is the Agent-Readiness scan really free?

Yes. The public scan reads three public files — /llms.txt, /robots.txt, and your homepage — and scores how ready your site is for AI agents and answer engines. No signup, nothing stored. Continuous monitoring of those signals, with alerting when they change, is part of a Merlonix workspace.

Can Merlonix make ChatGPT or Perplexity cite me?

No, and we will not claim it can. The engines decide what to cite; we report what they currently say and whether your site is reachable and correctly represented. We point you at the changes that improve your odds — clearer factual pages, presence in the sources engines pull from, corrected listings — but that is influence, not a guarantee.

How is this different from SEO or rank tracking?

Rank tracking tells you where a blue link sits on a results page. AI visibility monitoring tells you whether AI agents can fetch your site at all, and what an AI assistant says when a buyer asks it directly — whether you are named, cited, and described accurately. A growing share of buyers ask the assistant first and never reach a results page.

Which AI bots and engines do you cover?

The Agent-Readiness check evaluates your robots policy for the major AI bots — GPTBot, ChatGPT-User, PerplexityBot, ClaudeBot, Google-Extended, and CCBot — plus llms.txt, schema.org, and an MCP endpoint if you publish one. Answer-presence monitoring queries two live answer engines, Perplexity (Sonar) and ChatGPT (OpenAI web search), each independently.
